Merit Bookkeeping LLC ("Merit") operates meritbk.com. This page explains what information the site collects and how it's used. The short version: the only personal information collected is what you choose to send through the contact form, and it's used only to reply to you.
Information you send
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, business name, and message are delivered to Merit by email. That information is used to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to set up your account. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or added to any marketing list without your consent.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the hosting provider records basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. If analytics are enabled, they are used in aggregate to understand how the site is used. No advertising trackers are used.
Third-party services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Contact form submissions are delivered to Merit by email through Formspree. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Client data
Financial records shared with Merit as a client are handled under a separate engagement agreement and kept confidential. They are never stored on this website.
